If you have a special occasion to celebrate, this is the place to go! I was a little sceptical about the “Secret Menu”, but this was one of the most memorable meals I have ever experienced—highest level gourmet dining at its finest. I highly recommend splurging on the wine pairings with your meal. The whole experience took away the bias we all have about foods we think we don’t care for. Arriving at this secretive place is mysterious and enticing. Beforehand, be sure to check out Miradouro da Vitoria right around the corner for the most incredible view of Porto, the Douro river and Gaia!

The concept of this restaurant is that it’s a blind menu focusing on high quality, traditional Portuguese dishes for €60. Basically you sit down to a 5 course meal and they have a sealed envelope with the menu on the table and you open it after the meal to see if you can guess accurately what you ate. You can also go with the wine pairings for an extra €35 euro which I recommend. The food and wine parings were excellent, the decor tasteful, and the service impeccable. Very good meal and experience I highly recommend. What I enjoyed also was that it was a bit harder to get to and it did not have a ‘tourist trap’ vibe like you get closer to the river, it felt authentic and high quality.

The whole experience was amazing. This is not only about excellent food and wine, but also the way the team welcomes you and the special way they make you feel at your ease. If you have the chance, sit at the worktop near the kitchen, where you can watch Chef Bruno prepare the dishes with lively and interesting interaction. The flavors, the colors and the atmosphere will create special memories to take home with you.

The atmosphere of the restaurant, the service, and the food were all of a very high quality and I was very satisfied. The restaurant has a warm wooden interior. The good thing about the service is that everyone is friendly and explains things carefully. They were full of hospitality. The food was also excellent. I was satisfied with both the portion size and the seasoning. This is a restaurant I’ll want to come back to the next time I’m in Porto.

We had a great experience here, a full tasting menu, we chose the wine pairing to go with it for the full experience, such was definitely worth it.
The menu is in an envelope, and optional – not knowing is part of the experience, waiting to find out and trying the dish whilst picking out the flavours, then chatting to the waiters and learning more about the dish.
Aside from the amazing food, the service was faultless, very knowledgeable about the food and especially the wine.
Overall a great experience, definitely recommended. Something that needs to be booked as there is only one session per night with a small amount of tables.
