A warm, inviting space created by a PORTO
native ( Carla) who’s African Families Roots (1/2 Capre Verdean and 1/2 Mozambique) inspires the menu.
The cocktails are unique, cloyingly sweet but with a kick!
The appetizer of Yucca > Smashed > deep-Fried > -and artfully served in a small metal pail with 2- dipping sauces are just enough to inspire you to order more of what her kitchen puts out!
On one visit we tried the beef-cheeks
an earlier meal, we enjoyed the
SHRIMP Curry- both were quite tasty
( AND, I do recommend adding
some of their house-made
PiriPiri / “Oh-Jesus!!! Hot-sauce)

Fantastic food and service! The dishes were thoroughly explained and absolutely sumptuous. We had the shrimp curry and steak with vegetables and rice. The desserts and drinks were delicious too! Highly recommended!

We had an amazing time, the food was amazing and the service 10/10. The waitress was so friendly and knew every dish and explained everything. Loved it, I’m going back for sure.

Really wonderful experience ordered a variety of entrées and appetizers and they were all delicious and unique. The waiter couldn’t have been more helpful in explaining the menu. The pork cheeks could be cut with a spoon, came with a sizable portion of polenta that sucked up the juices from the meat, which made it even more delicious. The steak was tender, medium rare, and came with what I will call a chimichurri sauce, the shrimp curry was unlike any other curry earthy and full of spice with a little heat.
they have a great upstairs space which would be perfect for larger parties. If you’re adventurous and wanna try something different definitely come here we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

The chef/owner was as warm, colorful and welcoming as her delicious food. She came and explained the menu and recommended a delicious bottle of red wine that paired beautifully with our food. You have to stop by and eat here while in Porto, to miss out on this delicious African cuisine is to do yourself a disservice. The food is such a purposeful blend of textures, spices, and flavors that will leave you mesmerized. 10/10.
