We came across this restaurant while on the way to another. We glad we stopped by because all their seafood dishes were amazing. We ordered garlic shrimp and octopus dish…it’s by far the best one we ever had. The tentacles were so tender, and the seasoning was just perfect. The restaurant is away from the city center…but definitely worth the short walk.

Do not walk past this restaurant. I picked it on google reviews and the pictures. Restaurant doesn’t disappoint, only run by two people and they obviously really care about what they serve. Even recommended a different wine to what we picked. Who’d have thought octopus carpaccio was a thing but it’s absolutely lovely. The traditional Argentinian desert of alfajor argentino (with their personal twist) is a really nice finish to the meal. Lovely friendly staff, lovely food – it might not be a big Main Street restaurant but they have some amazing passion and food.

Excellent quaint tucked-away restaurant off an alley in beautiful Porto. We wanted to get some lunch and after searching the Google reviews, this place rated very high, so we went in.
The place is very small inside, just like a lot of other places like this in the heart of Porto. We were the only ones there and it was lovely inside. We got drinks and ordered the Tiger Shrimp Risotto and the Beef Steak Sandwich with fries. Both were great and very tasty. The prices we reasonable and because it was my wife’s birthday, they brought out a small slice of incredibly decadent chocolate cake for free. What a great surprise.
These folks are from Argentina and import their beef, so it explains why the steak sandwich was so good. All in all a great experience and delicious lunch.

Jardim do Trás is a charming restaurant right in the center of Porto. It has empanadas and soup, for lunch.
I recommend: empanadas (meat, cheese or cheese and ham), the risotto is the best, the steak (bife) and octopus also.
Near Clérigos Tower, Cordoaria gardens, Lello bookshop. For lunch or dinner, you can go on your own or with friends. It accepts small groups. Food is homemade and staff super nice!

We visited this restaurant twice—on the first day of our holiday and on the very last one. A perfect way to start the vacation and an equally perfect way to end it.
The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is excellent, and the service is friendly and attentive. For starters, we tried the beef empanada—absolutely fantastic—and the octopus carpaccio, which was so tender it literally melted in the mouth.
For the mains, we ordered the octopus, the sea risotto, and the Argentinian steak. Honestly, I can’t even say which one was the best—they were all excellent.
Thank you for such a delightful experience. Compliments to the chef, and our highest recommendations to this restaurant.
