I went to the restaurant last night dinner for one. The host was so gracious and warm. He shared recommendations checked in regularly and made sure I had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the cheeses and sausage and most especially their homemade chestnut bread, the glass of Douro wine And the tawny port for dessert were also delicious. This was one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. I highly recommend it.

I was there last summer with my partner and swore to review this incredible experience. There are countless restaurants in Porto, but this was our absolute favourite. If you want to learn something about Portuguese gastronomy and wines, this is a great place to go to. The owner is very friendly, knowledgeable, patient and passionate about his country and region’s history, food and culture. The service was absolutely impeccable, which made this the best place to share and enjoy the authentic and delicious dishes prepared with love and passion in the kitchen. We even got to speak to the Chef herself. This isn’t just dining, it’s a human experience. We were so happy the first time we went, that we had to return to try the other dishes! Much love from Luxembourg!

This is the best meal we had in Porto, which is so authentic, flavorful, and delicious. The owner is very friendly and passionate about food. He introduced us very great Portuguese cuisine and must eat food in Porto “tripes, ”and his lovely wife who is the chef made every dish so amazing! I would highly recommend who visit Porto should come to visit this restaurant providing remarkable service and great food experience!❤️

Celebrated my birthday here and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. From the very moment we were greated by the owner until we left we had such a feeling of being welcome, being appreciated, and on top of that, the food was simply amazing.
The owner was so attentive, taking the time to explain the menu and the history of the recipes – and not to us, he somehow managed to give every guest his undivided attention at the same time!
The chestnut bread, the octopus, the Terra A Terra wine – I almost don’t want to recommend a specific dish because it’s all good, go with the one you feel you’ll like the best, don’t be afraid to try something new.
It’s hard to put into words the way we felt, so I’ll just say: Thank you for a fantastic evening!

I’m a little late writing this review (life happens) but it’s a must I do so. My son and I had the distinct pleasure to dine at this gem of a restaurant in Porto back at the end of March. It truly was the most memorable dining experience we ever had. If I could best describe it, as words don’t do it justice, it’s like an exquisite dance with every move perfectly choreographed. It’s a small place (I believe 6-8 tables) run by a lovely couple.
The husband, Alvaro, is waiter and the wife, Luisa (hopefully remembered this correctly) is the chef. And oh my, is she an amazing chef! Every dish was just as perfectly orchestrated as the service which lured you into a unique experience of the senses. My favorite dish was the octopus, but all dishes were fabulous! What a sweet and warm couple and what an amazing place! I cannot wait to return with hubby and our other son as well so they can enjoy this wonderful culinary experience as well!
