The founder, João Luís Ferreira Garcia, began his career in the insurance industry in 1992 with his brother and father.

In 2000, they founded João Inglês Garcia & Filhos Lda. In 2002, Sara Alfaiate Garcia joined the team, developing and growing the company.​

In 2014 they opened an office in Lourinhã, which would prove to be an asset to the company's activity and to the expansion of the business, making their professionalism and experience known to more and more clients, thus increasing the volume of business.

At the beginning of 2018, Alfaiate & Garcia Lda was born under the management of João Luís Ferreira Garcia and Sara Alfaiate Garcia, maintaining the office in Lourinhã and opening a new space in Ribamar.
